Hazardous waste
In Estonia, approximately 380,000 tons of hazardous waste are generated each year, excluding oil shale production. Around 100,000 tons of this waste requires incineration to ensure safe and environmentally sound treatment.
Hazardous waste is not only an industrial challenge — a significant share also originates from households. Incineration in specialized facilities remains the most environmentally responsible solution for managing such waste.
At Epler & Lorenz, we provide a local and reliable solution for hazardous waste treatment. Our hazardous waste incineration plant in Tartu, part of the Eesti Keskkonnateenused group, is capable of safely incinerating up to 2,000 tons of hazardous waste annually, ensuring compliance with the highest environmental and safety standards.
